Choice/ Quality of Drinks | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Pivovar Malenovice and Dalesice, along with some more familiar names at this beer focused pub which offers Moravian wines and a stock back bar. |
Style/ Décor | ❤️❤️❤️ A spacious pub with large taproom and side rooms. Chunky, solid-feeling with lots of square angles and heavy furniture. Appealing exterior signage and garden. |
Atmosphere/ Character | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ A village social scene which attracts visitors from the city too, which combines to have a friendly, but vibrant blend of regulars and occasional visitors. Informal, but not cliquey. |
Amenities/ Events | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Pizza, Czech pub snacks, outdoor seating, takeaway, TV |
Value For Money | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Good value for both food and drinks. |
Description | Connected via a bus route to the city centre of Zlin, this village pub is far easier to reach than it may look on a map. It combines a neighbourly feel with a certain sense of city vibrancy. On the periphery but not isolated entirely. A friendly pub with attractive signage which lures you in. A basic layout of sturdy furniture and right angles, brightly lit, but not sterile or cookie cutter either. Service is friendly and they offer a strong range of local and regional beers, with Moravian wines. Pizza has been added to the usual basic Czech pub snacks which is welcome, and there is a terrace for summer socialising. Overall a versatile place you could take a group of young men or women, or families. A true pub feel, so worth an inclusion. (Added November 2023) |
