Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
House beers with a decent range on tap and extensive menu. This is a tourist-led palace of beers with a large selection of classic Belgian ales dominating.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The theme of the bar is its religious iconography, statuettes and collection of figurines. There are over 200, some of which are several feet tall in side. Alongside the classic Belgian surroundings of exposed beams and creaky staircases it creates a heady effect.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️
There is no doubt the theme provokes a degree of gawking, and the tourist element is made worse by the constant queuing at the door for a table and table service format. Once seated, matters improve. Service is relatively swift and civil, and the tables allow for a degree of socialising rather than simply private groups. General excitement abounds as it feels almost like being part of an ancient ritual for the first time.
Amenities/
Events
❤️❤️❤️
Meals, outdoor seating, snacks
Value For Money❤️❤️
More expensive than normal, though not egregiously so.

General excitement abounds as it feels almost like being part of an ancient ritual for the first time. With its extensive beer menu and meals, you’ll be well catered for. It’s a shame to some degree that the place has inevitably become a bit gimmicky and over-touristy, but that hasn’t totally spoiled it and there is plenty of enjoyment to be found. (Added July 2022)
