Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️
A diverse offering to satisfy but you won’t find too many standouts among them.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A historic bodega given a macabre makeover in 2002 into something quite unusual, without extinguishing the venue’s previous character either. Enter past a row of giant barrels into a space with seating at the rear and a balcony overlooking the bar. The makeover is – slightly hard to describe, but colourful, kitch and twisted in its own way, in a Latin style.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️
The decoration lends a lot of character from the outset, but this Poble-Sec district institution is popular and lively, most of all on evenings with live music. At quieter times you’ll find a cast of regulars and folk coming and going – casual, informal, and mixed.

Value For Money❤️❤️❤️
Fair value overall without being a standout.
DescriptionFormerly a wholesaler and traditional Bodega, new owners renovated the place to become almost a carnival, one long celebration of Barcelona’s culture.

This has produced a vibrant, slightly twisted but certainly relevant feeling venue which hosts live music in the evenings and a truly mixed crowd enjoying its casual informality.

Huge vats, a balcony and that macabre design, all carefully lit provides a highly distinctive setting to enjoy some drinks and tapas. A must-visit venue in the city. (Added May 2024)
