| Description | An Old fashioned Wirthaus and one of the few still serving Augustiner Helles exclusively from a wooden barrel, its quality and condition, impeccable pouring distinctly notable once you have had a chance to settle and enjoy your surroundings. This pub is an unspoilt ‘in-the-know alternative to the big corporate beer halls of the centre. Hardly obscure but enough off the main thoroughfare to not feel the need to cater to tourists, instead offering a social space for locals while picking up the occasional more intrepid traveller. A wedge shaped pub with high ceilings, dark wood fittings, candelabras and patina of years past on the walls (or the appearance of). Service is a little patrician, but not hostile, while the pub itself has the feel of a place you’d like to spend a long time in, which is really the principle quality of any establishment.
