Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Zoigl beer, unique and brewed by the wife rather than husband for a change. Limited alternatives though brandies and schnapps are of course on offer.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Rustic backyard and cosy, traditional Stube inside ticks most of the boxes.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Possibly quieter in summer than winter despite the backyard, it feels like second fiddle to Binner and Gloser, the big ones in town, but nevertheless has its core crowd and a neighbourly feel helped by the casual and informal hospitality.
Amenities/
Events
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Outdoor seating, BBQ, occasional live music, meals, snacks
Value For Money❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Superb value for money considering the quality, scarcity and origin of the produce.
DescriptionOne of the Oberpfalz’ Zoigl pubs, a culture that is unique, alien even, but fascinating. A tiny few families in the region share a communal brewery, making their own creations then open their doors on rotation a few days a month.

Fiedlschneider feels like rocking up in someone’s back yard, with a pretty garden and covered BBQ type seating that’s ad hoc, and fairly rustic.

Inside you’ll find a traditional Zoiglstube, from its ceramic heater to the low slung ceilings and chunky communal tables. The beer is good (brewed by the lady of the house) and the hospitality is fine too, with an easy geniality making it feel welcoming and endearing even for outsiders.

Check the calendar if it’ll be open before you go, as Zoigl pubs are only ever open a few days each month.(Added August 2023)
