Inside the orange hinted at in the title comes to fruition in the choice of wall paint, but it isn’t too garish, in fact it goes reasonably well with the breweriana which decorates the place. A small bar with seating by the entrance and limited space at the bar itself. |

| Description | Getting the tram out from Brno station to the terminus in Lisen feels a little like Prague’s pilgrimage to Prvni Pivni Tramway. It’s an easy connection to take at the train station and you’ll be whisked up here reasonably quickly, after which it’s barely a couple of minutes walk to the pub. Set on a high street with a distinctly micropub type feel, this bar specialises in Czech craft ales from small independent brewers, with at least 8 on tap at any one time. A wall of fridges and shelves are stocked with alternatives should they not suffice. The environment is reasonably pubby with the warm terra cotta/orange walls decorated with brewing signage, and the TVs and general social atmosphere remains casual, a place to relax. Service is kind and helpful. If this all sounds like your kind of thing but it looks far away on a map, please pause! Don’t discount it just because it’s a tram ride away. Getting to the pub and back to Brno is very simple and pretty quick too with regular trams well into the evening. (Added April 2024) |
