Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️❤️
A bar range covering a diverse range of bases well. If you want local beer, vermouth, cocktails, gins, wine, they’ll rustle it up. The diversity rather than depth is what earns it the marks.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dadaism influences the bar, an alternative reaction to the mainstream, so you’ll find recovered equipment, musical instruments, antique nik-naks fixed around a single room space, low-lit with a dusky feel in the afternoon before coming into its own in the evening. Imagine a Kazimierz antique bar with some French flavour and you’ve got it.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Characterful even when quiet due to the artistic surroundings, but the loungey space and rear garden change character during the evening adding further atmosphere to proceedings.
Amenities/
Events
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Meals, snacks, music, occasional events, outdoor seating
Value For Money❤️❤️❤️
Fair pricing, and Happy Hour deals.
DescriptionDAda clearly taking inspiration from some of the best ‘antique bars’ around Europe, particularly Kazimierz, but rather than evoking a particular era, this is used more to create an artistic statement, as its name would suggest. Whether that’s a bit too pretentious for you or not, it doesn’t really matter, you’ve made it to France already, so get used to it! Stripping back the bar to essentials, they offer a broad range of food and drinks to satisfy virtually everyone while Happy Hour deals are pretty reasonable too. With some live music and a nice back garden this is a place that methodically ticks almost all the boxes while being rather distinctive too. Hence, it’s included on our guide. (Added June 2024)
