Choice/ Quality of Drinks	❤️❤️❤️ A familiar range of stock options, perhaps not the strongest suit of the bar, with room for including craft beer particularly.
Style/ Décor	❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ One of Poland’s finest ‘antique bars’, located in a historic building which has already taken on slightly haunted house appearance, you’ll find a warm, lamplit bar area with hazy creams and browns, with two side rooms for pool tables.
Atmosphere/ Character	❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ A superb atmosphere stems from a number of elements. Firstly, local life and community that is not only off the tourist trail in Torun but local to the district itself, a warm friendly crowd who are familiar with each other. Secondly the wonderful characterful building and decor, which elevate it further.

Value For Money	❤️❤️❤️❤️ Very fair value across their range, notably cheap, versus many venues in Poland that would charge double for the same.
Description	‘Black Tulip’, a seductive name for a seductively superb pub, that gives us wistful nostalgia to think of. Not centrally located, you must consider a tram and a walk to the local district where this serves as its cultural centre. Located in a historic brick building from the turn of the 20th century, there is a hint of haunted house to the brick gothic facade. The glow of several rooms confirm there is more to the place than the bar room, surprisingly pool tables being among them. However, the bar room is truly superb with creams and browns hazily lit, with a heater pumping out in the colder months. The crowd is mixed, slanted towards under 30s but with a degree of mixing you don’t always find in Poland. The drinks selection is simple and familiar, lacking much acknowledgement of the developments of the last 20 years, however they are on offer at a great rate, fair and cheap. Once you’ve secured a table the woozy warm atmosphere sucks you in tight, and you’ll feel far away from your cares. What a bar. (Added April 2023)
