The key to the place is its decor, with an almost explosive assortment of cultural ephemera, much of which is macabre which is splashed Jackson Pollock style over the walls and ceilings. Like a ruin bar but confined to a high ceilinged and formerly rather grand mansion house.

The decor itself creates such an atmosphere it is one of those venues where it almost doesn’t matter how busy it gets. Somehow doesn’t quite become the sum of its parts but not far off, and improves as the evening progresses.

Description:
Ruin bar patina over a skeleton of a grand café, the silly, the macabre and the incomprehensible can be found here in a space that is still, in almost every other respect, simply a competent café bar. However, with the assets all combined, this place is a highly distinctive fun venue to be whether it’s busy or quiet.
