| Choice/ Quality of Drinks | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Considering the small size of the pub, bases are covered well here including some craft beer on tap and more in bottles. |
| Style/ Décor | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Beautiful fairylit courtyard in a precinct which appears to you from the dark and urban surroundings like a tiny window of paradise. The interior is microscopically small but has enough space for alt/goth artwork to your left, merchandise on your right and personalised – political – statements behind the bar. |
| Atmosphere/ Character | ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere on the terrace, also dog friendly. |
| Amenities/ Events | ❤️❤️❤️ Snacks, outdoor seating, smoking permitted, merchandise |
| Value For Money | ❤️❤️❤️ Fair prices with nothing overly scary. |
| Description | Crni Ovan (Black Ram), was a find made on the day rather than researched in advance. Some of our best finds have happened this way and just shows you should never switch off, the next nice bar may be just around the corner! This is a lovely little place set in a precinct between two of the main squares in Novi Sad, and as you approach the fairylights and greenery will appear to you like an oasis of enjoyment of relaxation, not something to walk past, but dive into. The bar is a tiny, alternative-leaning place, dog-friendly, and fascist-unfriendly, with some pro-Yugoslavia stickers around the place. They sell merchandise but manage to do so in a non-annoying way (unlike, for example, BrewDog). Drinks are better than you’d expect from an alt place with Serbian craft beer on tap and bottles and some interesting wines and spirits too, pretty good considering the tiny place. Service is friendly and its a place you could imagine making your local if you lived here. (Added June 2023) |
