Sports bar style offerings with a few OK bottles of beer. Home made punch.

Style/Décor:
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A single room pub, long and narrow with lounge area and TV at the end. This is partitioned by a hatch jokingly labelled “Remparts”. There’s a long fish tank positioned under the bar, while all around you photos of great memories in the bar and souvenirs/gifts are pinned to walls and ceilings.

Atmosphere/Character:
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A feeling of a central institution, a lively dive bar type tempo with most leaning at the bar or propped up on stools, particularly gregarious during match days and festivals.

Amenities/Events:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Food, snacks, TV, limited outdoor space, home made punch.

Value For Money:
❤️❤️❤️
Typical for the town.

Description:
Named after owner Jacques Gardet’s nickname Ramina, this Basque rugby bar is a true standout in South West France. He was a former rugby player himself for the local team Avirron Bayonnais.

Both a central meeting place and hub of activity in the town and a true curio, highly personalised with memorabilia from floor to ceiling.

A single room pub, long and narrow with lounge area and TV at the end. This is partitioned by a hatch jokingly labelled “Remparts” where you may have to duck under if you need the toilet during your stay (which is, typically for this part of France, a hole in the floor).

There’s a long fish tank positioned under the bar, while all around you photos of great memories in the bar and souvenirs/gifts are pinned to walls and ceilings.

The bar is open late on Fridays and Saturdays, but during match days you can taste a bit of the magic, likewise during the busy festival calendar.

The bar is destined to live out its existence as a love or hate place but we absolutely loved it and would return in a heartbeat.
