| Description | Among central Valencia’s most famous bars, the site of a beautiful 19th century former pharmacy, with the cabinet fittings and floor still intact. The bar has been operating since the mid-90s and its compact size means there is a natural patio extension as its identity spills out onto the street. A firm feeling of institution to the service tells of its cultural significance. The small showpiece bar has only two tables for seating, but a backroom is itself elegant and has a certain atmosphere and allure even when quiet. Versatile, you can find people enjoying their morning coffee, to cocktail drinkers in the typically blurred lines that not so much demarcate as embody Spanish bar culture. (Added July 2024) |
