Description:
Dnevni Borovak, or ‘living room’ aims to create a space to relax, read, listen to music and socialise. A very low key mission statement yet a really important one. This is not a bar you’ll find around every corner in Rijeka.

Friendly, sociable and welcoming, the shelves of vinyl and books impress the moment you enter. They keep a cultural roster of live music, readings, political organisation (of a liberal left slant). It’s an organised and committed cultural roster which shows a business not satisfied to just serve the odd coffee here and there.

Drinks do the job thanks to Austria’s Hirter and a few decent bottles, along with typical café fare, leaving you to enjoy the various cultural offerings on sleepy afternoons or twinkly, atmospheric evenings. Not one to miss.
