Wines and vermouths by the barrel, and basic beers – beer not the strong point here.

Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Historic corner bodega a step down from street level, with rows of old barrels and dramatic collection of keyrings festooned on the rafters. A roughly wedge shaped room with bar to the right and assortment of tables.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Not only characterful due to the history and interior, but vibrant and relevant feeling with an energetic duo working the bar, kitchen producing plate after plate of food, and superbly social, buzzy atmosphere even during the afternoons with a mixed crowd including many younger people.

Tapas, snacks, game machine, outdoor “seating”
Value For Money❤️❤️❤️❤️
Fair value across the board.
DescriptionOne of Barcelona’s historic Bodegas that belongs to a list inscribed as part of the city’s intangible cultural heritage. But this ain’t no museum (Although it remains interesting to look at that way), but a bar that is vibrant, relevant and exudes the kind of energy, conviviality and values you’re looking for in a neighbourhood boozer.

Due to the location in El Clot, you won’t find this place overrun with tourists but instead there’s a healthier blend – mainly locals and a few foreign residents with the odd tourist tagging along.

What’s the bar all about then? Well, order a plate or two of tapas and grab a beer of vermouth (or wine) to enjoy these with. Everything is set up simply and straightforwardly, commanded by a duo of assertive but engaging and friendly women.

For some reason even the presence of an arcade machine slap bang in the middle of the bar alters nothing of the experience or character of the place.

If you’ve been peering at some old grainy photos online of a quiet Bodega from back in 2011 or something, think again and prepare yourself for one of the city’s finest buzziest bar experiences.
