Choice/ Quality of Drinks	❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 7/8 reds and 7/8 whites offered by the glass at any one time, usually regional, with the usual beer pump and a cider or two. A shelf full of interesting beers which can be bought and consumed on the premises adds to what is a clearly superior offering. The only traditional bodega in the city that keeps the wines in orri.
Style/ Décor	❤️❤️❤️❤️ A narrow shop with shelves of wine, beer, spirits etc to the left of the entrance and the bar with its barrels and tapas counter to the right. Stools at the bar furnished with upturned barrels and high tables to the back of the room. Traditional in style.
Atmosphere/ Character	❤️❤️❤️❤️ While traditional, there is a feeling of both relevance and authenticity, a combination that is usually the hallmark of something special. Perhaps there is just a feeling the shop slightly overtakes the bar element, but that is to be extremely picky. Local life, almost exclusively.

Description	Established 1957, Benimaclet’s primary Bodega is a rarity not only in the neighbourhood but Valencia in general. The format has remained true to its origins, fully operating as a wine shop as well as a bar. However, with a very decent selection of beers on the shelves there are more strings to its bow for groceries. As a bar, visitors to the likes of Bodega Nadal in Barcelona will be familiar with the setup. Upturned barrels, high tables and a seating area near the rear for drinking wines alongside cold plates of tapas. Service is friendly and welcoming, usually 7/8 reds and 7/8 whites offered by the glass at any one time, with the usual beer pump and a cider or two. Quality and/or local produce is the emphasis but there is much to explore. A traditional setup with character and personality from the surroundings, fixtures and fittings to the staff at the bar.
