Description:
Birrópolis is a recent addition (at the time of writing) to Jerez’s bar scene and very welcome. The drinks offering and indeed the venue itself beats and craft beer bar in Seville, which is around 3 times as big a city.

It isn’t the only place in Jerez where specialist beers are available but by far the most significant. Offering 14 taps – some of the best of the region with German and Belgian classics and a fridge full of Spanish craft beer.

Inside you’ll find a whitewashed tavern with textured limed walls, in Andalusian style, almost like something you’d find in Sacramonte in Granada.

Tucked away just off the main square, it benefits from an in-the-know feel avoiding the mainstream terrace cafe trade.

Food isn’t a must here, and I was quite happy drinking the beers which I must also say are fairly priced.

Be aware the operation makes a visual point of refusing fascists.
