Choice/Quality of Drinks:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
A decent selection of above average drinks from mainstream brewers on tap, with some decent bottles from Belgium and Italy too.

Style/Décor:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Purposefully preserved old-world shop front onto a cobbled lane, inside there are some pleasant vaults to enjoy but the furnishing and layout lets it down a touch.

Atmosphere/Character:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Casual but somewhat of a café rather than pub atmosphere.

Amenities/Events:
❤️❤️❤️
Food, snacks, limited outdoor seating

Value For Money:
❤️❤️
Relatively high even factoring in the snacks provided to accompany drinks.

Description:
Great care has been taken to ensure Bergamo old town retains its historic character, up to and including a ruling that its shop front signage must adhere to specifications. This certainly adds to the feeling of continuity and ensemble, and as you pass this pub you feel like you may be about to enter a pickled old boozer from the 1950s. However, the tourist crowds, souvenir stalls, tour guides soon break the spell, and as you walk inside you’re faced with a similar feeling. A charming edifice that hosts a more modern operation.

Still, that’s no reason to be overly sniffy. This little pub is a surprise enough in that it is not food focused and happy to welcome people arriving to drink and socialise. The beer selection is a decent side of mainstream once you include all bottles and cans, with several tap options and as elsewhere in Italy, a purchase is accompanied by a tray of snacks, justifying the higher pricing to most extents.

The interior character is pleasant but furnishings and atmosphere remains a little café like rather than pub, and a better operation could potentially improve on this.

However, given what’s available around you, it is remains a solid choice.
