Location: Širolina ul. 3, 52100, Pula

Year of Inscription: 2025

Venue Type:  Neighbourhood Lounge Bar / Casual / Beer Specialists

EBG Rating: 7.5/10

Choice/Quality of Drinks:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
With a roster of Croatian craft beers on keg, supplemented by good German and Czech beers and a good range of bottles, there is something to choose here to suit more specialist tastes, if not quite the very top, then certainly clearly superior.

Style/Décor:
❤️❤️❤️
The exterior looks very promising with an unusual cabin-like interior. The interior also has pleasant features like the exposed rafters and beams, and a games room adjacent, but the furnishings do drag the place down a lot, high chairs in a style more akin to the most generic cocktail lounge bars than suiting the raw materials of the place. Such is the impact the bar almost didn’t make the cut.

Atmosphere/Character:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Local life, a non-touristy venue with a decent cross section of an audience, not by any means a beer monsters holdout.

Amenities/Events:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Food, snacks, games, outdoor seating.

Value For Money:
❤️❤️❤️
In line with the going rate for what’s on offer.

Description:
A suburban bar a short bus ride from Pula centre, it isn’t as far away as a map may suggest and is well connected to get out and back, also connecting to the Verudela peninsula if you are having a day out at the coast.

Known for superior beers – hardly difficult in this part of the world, but that only makes its offering more significant. With a roster of Croatian craft beers on keg, supplemented by good German and Czech beers and a good range of bottles, there is something to choose here to suit more specialist tastes, if not quite the very top, then certainly clearly superior.

However, late opening 7 nights a week, the leafy outdoor terrace, beer selection and roster of games, not to mention absence of tourists means it clearly deserves a mention on our guide.
