Quality of Drinks
❤️❤️❤️
Pilsner + Radegast with limited fridge options. Basic back bar, a utilitarian selection, basic and cheap.
Style/
Décor
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Blacked out windows and curtain at the entrance leading into a one room pub, more of a front room. Ramshackle, slightly hippy décor, world maps combining with colourful lampshades.
Atmosphere/
Character
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
One of Prague’s more clandestine operations. Were it not for a few people drinking on the street you’d be excused for thinking this was a closed pub or not properly marked. However, the Pilsner Urquell sign and activity street side is enough to try the door despite the black curtain and blacked out windows. A step into the unknown. When in, you’ll be drinking among a set of misfits and locals, a friendly vibe, the very antithesis of pretension.

Value For Money❤️❤️❤️❤️
Entirely fair value for what’s on offer.
DescriptionA bar with a truly low profile, but known to the local neighbourhood. If you pass at quieter times, you’d never notice a bar was there but for the Pilsner Urquell sign. With smokers and drinkers on the street, here is the indication something is happening. Pass the blacked out windows and enter through an unmarked door and further black curtain, a step into the unknown. You’ll find a humble bar, purposefully low-key, decorated in a vaguely hippy/drop-out style. Imagine a student dorm from the early 00s, and you’ll not be far away. Drinks are utilitarian, service is tolerant, and the atmosphere is one for those outsiders, misfits and unpretentious locals to turn up, have a chat, play a few games and forget about the sweeping homogenisation of Prague’s pubs for an hour or two. The true underground, one which operates with a hush rather than through daily posts on instagram accounts. (Added March 2025)
