More formal than average, with table service and a no-phones policy which gives the place more of a refined feel. It’s a comfortable and enjoyable place to be but perhaps lacking a little joie-de-vivre to elevate it further.

This is the high end option in town. Certainly by Western standards fairly priced but cocktails can be secured elsewhere in town for less.

Description:
Apotheka is not the first, nor will it be the last cocktail bar to trade on being in a converted pharmacy. A compact little space with vaults, a smart cabinet for a back bar, and high seats around which are high benches and stools. Table service keeps things feeling fairly formal, as does its no phones policy, making you feel a little pinned in your seat when you may wish to explore and relax. The whole idea is to remove the automatic urge to post your photos on social media, which to be fair, is at least an honourable intention.

Stylish lighting, very high quality standards and pleasant interactions with staff are factors which tip the venue into the credit column. If you are seeking for somewhere special or more refined to go in the centre, this is it.
