Liechtenstein is sandwiched between Switzerland and Austria. Germany is not far away and it is possible from one train ride to visit all four countries in an afternoon.
The capital Vaduz, with all of 5,000 residents is not even the biggest town in Liechtenstein, nor is it really a bar destination at all. The bigger town of Schaan to the North is not exactly downtown Tokyo either, but does have some bars to speak of.
The superior option is the Liechtensteiner Braustube, a big budget brewpub to the North of town, also handily located near a regular bus route. If you want to tick the proverbial box, pay attention to its opening hours as the Braustube (pub) and Brewery premises have different websites and hours.
